Letter to daughter: You are the architect of society!

I was recently reading a book which is about the history of India, in which I read that women were responsible for the start of civilization. Earlier man was a nomad, wandering from one place to another in search of sustenance. Women were the first to initiate farming and cultivation of crops which needed tending hence this led to settlements which in turn led to the growth of civilizations like the Harappan and Indus valley civilization. Honestly, I’m not surprised. If it wasn’t for women we would still be squatting in caves and eating raw meat as Orson Welles put it. So don’t let society dictate rules to you, don’t feel the pressure to follow societal norms. Remember you are the reason there is a society in the first place. You are the real architect of society.
