Arabian Night Party for Mamas and Friends.

As you may have guessed from my previous posts that I love organizing theme parties for Zayb. Though a lot of fun these parties are a tad bit exhausting for me. With all the organizing, parenting, working, cooking, cleaning I am left with little time for fun. Though I enjoy everything I do a lot, like most other young mothers I usually do not have enough time to do ffuuuunnnnn stuff for myself. So I decided to throw a ‘Arabian Nights’ theme party for all my girls and their kids.
Here is how I planned it!
I designed a completely middle eastern menu.
  • Falafel
  • Shawarma
  • Hummus
  • Basil Hummus
  • Yellow Pepper Hummus
  • Baba ghanoush
  • Berry Pulao
  • Gaz (Persian Nougat)

I tried to incorporate Persian and Arabic decor accents on the table and generally around the house. The Arbi candle holder lady, the standing vase lamp, colored water bottles and glasses, Sheik couple salt and pepper shakers, gold and silver platers, gold and silver surahis, Arabic tea pot for the mint tea, lamps around the photo booth, Moroccan lamps around the table.

I made princess Jasmine and Jafar photo booth props for the kids

Me and my friends dressed according to the theme.

Finally we wrapped the party with refreshing, warm mint tea.

PS:  I wish we had belly danced.

Mamas dont forget to have your fun..being happy and excited about life is very important not only to your well being but also for the well being of your child.

  3. That was an incredible party!! I’m so happy to see these photographs. My friends and I are also making plans for a night party. So I have made a list of best party venues in Houston for this. I hope they’ll select one of these venues!
