Teal, Olive and Mustard Tablescape

When the food isn't lovely the table better be pretty.

Just the other day we hosted friends to an impromptu dinner. The food was so so; stroganoff, stir fry veggies and claypot chicken. I was feeling very nervous as we had no starters, no drinks. The house didn't look it's best as I didn't have much time with 2 kids to arrange the place much. So it didn't feel quite like my regular daawats.

But I was able to manage to make the table look pretty. I put together my dark real glasses, mustard and brown dinner plates, green quarter plates, syone ware serving bowls; gold cutlery with a matching table cover and doilies. I'd say it looked pretty. What do you think?
